Insulated Busbars and Busducts 7.2-40.5 kV

Insulated busbars BB(S) 7.2-40.5 kV are used for the arrangement of busbars (shielded or unshielded) of solid insulated, gas-insulated, and dry (clean) air-insulated switchgear for 7.2-40.5 kV and current 630-3150 A, providing their reliable sealing, insulation, and electrical connection.

BB(S) are made of copper pipe of various external and internal diameters depending on the current, with insulation made of high-quality elastomer resistant to moisture, dust, heat, and cold. BB(S) busbars are produced both shielded and unshielded.

It is possible to manufacture insulated busbars with bends for sectioning (connecting Bus Tie and Bus Riser switchgear panels / cubicles):
Also, upon separate request, it is possible to manufacture insulated shielded busducts for 7.2-40.5 kV, including outdoor execution, for currents of 630-3150 A and short-circuit currents of 25-50 kA:

Composition of the busbar and adapter assembly

1 – Contact spacer; 2 – L-shaped connector; 3 – T-shaped connector; 4 – Busbar; 5 – Cover; 6 – Interface C bushing; 8 – Threaded stud; 9 – Contact brackets; 10 – Spring washer; 11 – Nut; 12 – Insulating plug.

BBS kit

Busbars for 24 kV and 40.5 kV are supplied only with shielded insulation.

Ordering example: BBS-1220 646mm – Shielded busbar for a nominal current up to 1250 A and voltage 24 kV for switchgear panels / cubicles with a width of 646 mm.
